Hyatt Zilara Rose Hall Review
The Hyatt Zilara/Ziva Rose Hall, is an all-inclusive resort in Montego Bay, Jamaica. The two properties are combined into one with the family-friendly Ziva side, and the adults-only Zilara side. I had the pleasure of staying at the Zilara for a few days to enjoy some rest and relaxation in the Jamaican sun.
We took advantage of our Southwest companion pass to book our flights there, so we needed just 27k Southwest points to book both of our flights (with a stopover in Orlando).
We used 100k Hyatt points to book our 4-night stay at the Zilara, earned through a combination of our World of Hyatt, Chase Sapphire Preferred, and Chase Sapphire Reserve cards.
Retail Cost for 4-night stay w/ flights: $4,170
We Paid: $360 – for a total savings of $3810
Overview
When arriving at the airport, you’re able to relax in Hyatt’s arrival lounge as they confirm your check-in and prepare their shuttle to take you to the resort.
Aesthetically, the Hyatt Zilara and Ziva Rose Hall is a pretty impressive resort.
The lobby of the Zilara is open-air, with a view of the pool area and the Caribbean off in the distance – a nice touch when guests arrive.
Situated just off the beach, sits their infinity pool which is quiet, relaxing, and even features a swim-up bar.
Room
We booked a standard room for our stay but received an upgrade to a junior suite thanks to my Hyatt status. While we didn’t have much of a view, the room was very spacious and quite comfortable.
Since the resort is all-inclusive, the minibar/fridge is stocked daily with snacks and beverages that are fully complementary to all guests!
Food & Drinks
Guests staying at the Zilara can dine with all 11 restaurants on the property (guests staying in the Ziva have access to a subset of the restaurants). We weren’t able to try them all during our 4-night stay, but the ones we did were really quite good.
The service, in general, was decent. There were some servers who were excellent and others that made it clear that they weren’t thrilled to be there.
Overall, breakfast at the various restaurants was by far our favorite as there is no better way to start the day than sitting in the sunshine, with a nice breakfast, and a perfect view!
Final Thoughts
Overall, our stay at the Hyatt Zilara Rose Hall was really fantastic. By the time our check out day arrived, we didn’t want to leave!
Most all-inclusive resorts have a reputation for being very mediocre, but the Hyatt Zilara/Ziva Rose Hall does not fit that description. We loved the wide array of activity offerings and the pool scene. The food, drinks, and ambiance of the resort were phenomenal and have us really excited to try more Hyatt Zilara/Ziva properties in the future!
